as I live a few more questions

Hi ho, hi ho....

Back to work! I had a good Christmas holiday, better than I was expecting in fact. The best part was having my brother's family home for a week. And I finally had that chance to talk about some issues with my brother that I had been putting off, and that had been nagging at me, for some time. And got them settled :-)

Of course, the very best part of all is when I discovered that my middle nephew has exactly the same quirky sense of humour that I do!

My brother's family, who are in town for the Easter weekend and a bit longer, are in town. The photo was taken in the local Starbucks (where you apparently aren't supposed to take pictures). WHAT-ever.

I Will Remember You: Elizabeth Kamyszek, August 20, 1912—October 18, 2004

I've found the original handwritten notes about my beloved grandmother Elizabeth's final illness and death. The posts about her got taken down with the old blog, but I feel strongly that they belong here in the new blog. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about her; she was the one true source of unconditional love in my childhood, and we always had a special bond between us. I still carry her rosary around in my pocket, in the little beige bag she crocheted for it. It's become a talisman of sorts, a memento.

I'm still crying now as I type this; maybe someday the pain will dull.
